Olive Ridleys Conservation Program
In the year 2003 ‘Wild Orissa’ took part in the Rushikulya Sea
Turtle conservation for Olive Ridleys in Orissa as part of a
nascent Olive Ridley Conservation program. The period since then
has been to support the local people engaged in Olive Ridley
conservation, including the Rushikulya Sea Turtle Protection
Committee of Purnabandha (Ganjam district of Orissa) comprising of
young and dynamic volunteers of the village. Financial and
material support was provided to this group.
