    Wild Birds Conservation Program

The Wild Birds Conservation Program of Wild Orissa, starting in the year 1997, focused on some vanishing species of Orissa like the Hill Myna, Black Partridge, Indian Pied Hornbill, and which later included species like the Pallas’s Fish Eagle, White Bellied Sea Eagle, Vultures, etc. Details were gathered about the different species of wild birds in Orissa and how they were being slowly decimated due to various reasons. Trading routes of illegally captured and poached birds have been also identified.
